Alexis earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Denver where she majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. At UC Denver, she served as the secretary for the Auraria Campus Police Department Community Advisory Board (ACPD CAB). She also served as a Teaching Assistant for the UC Denver School of Public Affairs and Court Monitor intern for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Born in Honolulu, Hawai`i, Alexis considers Colorado a second home. She recognizes and appreciates the sense of community within Colorado and hopes to serve them to the best of her ability. With intentions of attending law school, she hopes to gain knowledge and experience in how to best serve under-represented individuals and marginalized communities with respect, kindness, and compassion.
